OUMF's Riley 1.5 race preparations reach a crescendo for the 2010 Goodwood Revival...
The support of Lord March and Julius Thurgood for OUMF has been a constant source of encouragement since its foundation at the 2005 Revival. An OUMF Team's attendance at both this and the Festival of Speed every year has initiated a lifetime interest in historic and mainstream motor sport in many students at Oxford who have been blown away by the experience of being involved at the sharp end in these world class events.

The 'Giro Panoramico' Rally
Starting at 11am at the Fossbridge Inn, on the Fosse Way near Cirencester, Alex Champion and Ding hustled the OUMF TOYO Golf round the most bucolic backwaters of the Cotswolds in the company of hordes of gleaming Alfa's of all ages - on what must be one of the most beautifully set rallies of its kind anywhere in the world. The early morning rain did nothing to dampen their spirits - or the adhesion of the TOYO 888 tyres - and after two hours of fabulous motoring they arrived, with all clues collected and correct, at the grand reception at Blenheim Palace...in glorious sunshine. Tucking the TOYO Golf out of sight in the disabled car park(!) they admired the 100's of Alfa's otherwise displayed on the banks of the lake in the afternoon, and chatted to owners of similar cars to the OUMF 'Inca' Alfa project who offered helpful hints, parts and advice.
Many thanks to Richard Morris and the Cotswold Alfa Club for inviting us on another very memorable and enjoyable event, and we hope we might be able to take part in the Inca Alfa if we are invited again next year.

OUMF takes the Bullnose Endurance Rally by the horns!
A 14 year old 1996 Corsa-B 1.4 16v was found, which had been laid up and unused for nearly a year, on the day entries for the Bullnose Rally closed. Nearly a week of frenzied - and very thorough - preparation of the car by the OUMF student team then followed, using all the knowledge and skills learned earlier in the summer on the SOL Rally Barbados, and the Barbados Historic Rally Carnival.
