In every project, there are certain moments that stand out, and we have just hit one of those milestones: the engine is finally installed in the TVR! This marks a pivotal step in bringing our vision for this restored classic to life. The journey to this point was not without its challenges, as we spent months sourcing the right parts, restoring or modifying every single part, ensuring every detail met our standards for performance and compatibility. The freshly built engine was finally ready to go in, but after careful preparation of the engine bay, our first go at the installation uncovered that the engine mounting brackets were the wrong fit—a frustrating setback. It took some persistence and a bit of luck, but at the end Devon Racing pulled through and provided the right brackets, after the invaluable help from John Baille and the TVR Club who played a crucial role in the hunt. Their support was a reminder of how passionate and generous the car community can be. After the long wait, it was time for the second attempt of lowering the engine into place, ensuring everything lined up perfectly, and securing it step by step. The result? A solid, satisfying installation and a major leap forward in this project. Here are a few highlights from the process: Engine Bay Ready: Prepped and clean, ready for the big moment. The Drop: Capturing the build-up to confirming the brackets would line up. The Final Look: The installed engine, wearing its TVR beanie, offering a glimpse of what is to come. Overcoming setbacks like the bracket issue made this milestone even sweeter. With the engine in place, our next focus will be on installing the exhaust manifolds and all ancillaries, ready for wiring and hearing the engine rumble for the first time in years. This project is still far from over, but moments like this remind us why we started and make us excited about seeing it through.
